Network setup

Is there a recommended brand for an Ethernet Switch to use as i need to connect my work computer and Optik TV box to the same ethernet outlet from the wall. Or any cheap plug and play is fine

    Ethernet switches are really basic devices so there is not a lot of difference between various brands. The more common brands include TP-Link, Netgear, and D-Link. If you just need a gigabit switch, you can get 5 port models starting around $15 (link) and 8 port models around $24 (link).
