I know its an old tread.... but now... can you just disconnect the XGPON from the TELUS NAH and connect it directly to the UDM (New Gateway)

ChristoGM Unfortunately no. If you are on a XGS-PON service package, authentication is done with both the SFP and the NAH as a combination against TELUS' network (PPPoE). There are ways to eliminate the NAH altogether but that would require purchasing a customizable WAS-110 SFP+ with custom firmware on it. Long and short of it is, you clone the NAH into the WAS-110 so it verifies itself on the TELUS core network and appears as it would have when TELUS initially installed the service. I think there are marginal performance benefits bypassing the TELUS NAH switch. Going the WAS-110 route is a bit cumbersome and has a cost. Most people would just configure the NAH in bridge mode, then on to their own equipment and be done with it.
