Will modems be updated to support new time zones?
The current time on my T3200M modem is an hour behind because it thinks we've returned to PST and fallen back an hour. The only options for the time zone are:
(GMT - 8:00) - Pacific Time
(GMT - 7:00) - Mountain Time
(GMT - 6:00) - Central Time
(GMT - 5:00) - Eastern Time
Day Light Saving - checkbox
Are we stuck with this or will there be an update to the firmware?
And how much does it matter what time/timezone the modem thinks it is?

What time does it display when you call up the guide?

I'm skeptical that there will be a firmware update as the most recent one is over 5 years old.
Aside from log files I don't think it will make any difference.
