The majority of TV programming is licensed:

With respect to sports this may be of interest:

Finally restrictions can be place on how a show is viewed and whether or not it can be recorded. This is typically determined by the licensee:

I have stop the program to answer the phone or what ever I come back and I cant fast forward thru the commericials or catch up to live TV. Absolutly frustrating!
If this is how broadcasters are going to act well I am done with them.
I wont have this service by the end of next week if this isnt resolved. I am done with these broadcasters and CRTC.

If you are pausing a live program you will not be able to fast forward. That is the expected behavior. You can jump to live by holding the Exit button and selecting Live when the menu pops up.

No it isnt! What is the point of a PVR then? This has only happened in the last 4 weeks or so.
With similar complaints on Bell, Rogers and Telus and I am told by TSN it is Telus issue?
I know how to get to live TV but if I cant pause and come back and move forward then there is no point of the no serivce, sorry I cant accept this
