Edmonton South Fiber optic So Slow.
I have fiber optic and am paying a fairly large sum of money monthly to have fast internet. I get this.
Anyone else in Edmonton South not impressed with the speed? Had a tech come out, and he got 200Mbps, 20 mins after he left 4mbps. Was with my brother-in-law and he got Starlink and gets on average 200mbps even in the clouds(just comparing). Is there a reason for this? Network overleveraged, too many people on it, resources moved to AI? Does anyone have an answer for this? Thinking about switching after 20 years of switching.

If you are still seeing those speeds over a wired connection then either try a different cable or you will need to contact Telus to get them to investigate.
- RoncoldNeighbourI did contact Telus to tell them to investigate. Two days on the phone for 2 to 3 hours and then a tech came out.Ron

I have seen a wide variety of results from speedtests depending on the server you are connected to. If you are in Edmonton try this site for speed tests:
Speed test: Check your Internet speed | TELUS Support
I generally get the results I'm expecting when I connect to Telus Mobility Calgary.
