Boost 6
I would like to know if anyone who has the Boost 6, the one with a supposed 6.0 WIFI gets more than 100mbps up or down. Trying to find out if this is normal. I am getting consistently less than 100mbps on both, usually less than 95mbps, sometimes as low as 5mbps.
Have been seeing the wheel spinning with show paused so searching for an answer. When I first got Boost 6 by memory I think it was a lot higher. I am watching WIFI TV from the other WIFI at the other end of the house instead of the Boost 6 which is 10 feet away.
I have GEN 2 Telus TV 21T system with 500GB. On ethernet I get around 500mbps, so no complaints wired. On a second personal WIFI router connected to modem by 40 foot ethernet cable at the other end of house I get around 500 up/down WIFI. All tests are within 5 feet of WIFI antenna.

The configuration of your network isn't clear from your description. However, Wi-Fi speed depends on many factors, such as configuration of the network, the distance, the type of device, number of devices on your AP, as well as the number of other neighbouring APs sharing the same channel. If you're only 100 Mbps or less, that's very slow. Watching TV over Wi-Fi generates a lot of traffic which interferes with the download speed you can get with other devices. I prefer to connect my TVs and my STBs using Ethernet wherever possible.
I have a couple of Boost 6 units, and I can get much higher speeds from them, depending on the distance.
