Why Telus identity verification links do not point to telus.com?

Just dealt with the same process tonight here in Quebec, exact same pattern. The thing that I am not getting at all, is that during web purchase, they asked for an ID like driver license, and they are live checking credit score... so they got confirmation of our identity there. Yes an agent had called me to say that he will send to me that link, but never he authentified himself to me, no way to know if it legit. The email could be faked easily. But, the website amalgameast.reauthid is really legit in the end so... I will call back myself instead of someone calling to me and rush me without explanation or proof of legitimity.
Get your process clear and safe in appearance at least.
