Texts sometimes don't send or receive
Hi,
Switched to Telus in August 2023. Since that time, there will often be times where texts don't send or receive. Three phones on the account, all different phones, same issue. Happens at home, office, wherever. I have tried the suggested troubleshooting, no change. Is this just a Telus issue I have to live with? Rarely, if ever, experienced this issue with Rogers/Fido.
Thanks.

Hi RS33 have you spoken to our technical support team about the issues you are experiencing?
- SyaoranAll-StarWhat devices are the 3 devices? Are the issues to certain contacts or just completely random? Are they Android to Apple or vice versa, because iMessage works best when non iMessage recipients are set to SMS/MMS.
- RS33Friendly NeighbourSamsung S21, iPhone 11, Samsung S9. Happens to any and all contacts. Intermittent. Restart phone, delete, resend will sometimes work.
- SyaoranAll-StarHmmm. Might be multiple issues there then. With iPhones, messages to other iPhones go directly through iMessage, which uses Apple's servers. Non-iMessage recipients should send as SMS/MMS. Make sure the app is fully up to date.
Are you using Samsung Messages or Google Messages on the Samsung devices? If you are using Samsung Messages. Samsung has discontinued their messaging app in North America in favour of Google Messages.
RCS does not work the same way as iMessage. If an RCS recipient is offline when you try to send the a message. The message will not send until that contact is back online (connected to RCS). It should give you the option to send as an SMS/MMS though after it doesn't send, which should make it to the recipient as long as their device is on.
