New smartphone
Got a new samsung galaxy A16. Installed a telus sim card. I already have a telus prepaid account for a cellphone. How do I get a phone number and account for the new phone?

Community Power UserDid you move the SIM card from the old phone with the pre-paid account or did you buy a new SIM card? Were you looking to use the original number and account with the new phone or did you want a new service / number?
I didn't move the sim card.. ordered one from Telus. Keeping the old phone as a backup, but can't use it from home because we live far from cell service. I got the Samsung Galaxy A16 simply because we need a phone to use with wifi.

Hello carilc, if you transfer the active SIM card from your old phone to the new one, your service will be on the new device.
Thanks, but I can't use the sim from the old dumbphone. I somehow need to get an account and phone number for the new samsung galaxy A16. I got it because I live far from cell service, I need WIFI calling. I installed a new telus sim card.
