Got a new phone and a new sim, how do I make change my number over to the new phone?

I'm replacing my old phone with a Samsung a50 and I had to get a new sim card for it, but when I try to change devices on the website it tells me to contact you.

  • Registering a SIM on the Telus site hasn't worked for literally years even though it may appear doable. So yes you'll have to call... Best of luck as I've heard wait times are pretty lengthy.

      Forgot to mention... You might have way better luck visiting a physical store if that is at all possible.
  • Sorry, didn't read your post carefully enough, I only went by the post title. Were you at the Swap SIM page when you got the message to contact customer support?

     

    There isn't anyone here from customer support, we are just Telus customers like you. Try using the online Chat fuction to contact customer support.

  • Log on to your My Telus account (mobile app or web site via browser) and go to your mobile account. You can register the new SIM there.
