Smart door lock spinning

When I try to lock or unlock my smart home lock, it spins quite a few times until it engages. It lock fine when you lock it with the door open.

Are you just experiencing latency when locking the door? It could be due to the Wi-Fi signal strength in your home. Does it lock or have you experienced an issue with it not working at all?
