Iristel Inc. - "Telus" Number
Scam number?

Called my mom outside of business hours for MST regarding amount owing on my Telus mobility account (I'm the only account contact listed on my account). They requested my account # from my mom. She said she didn't have it, and that if they were indeed Telus, they would have that information. They hung up. Really bizarre.
100% a scam call. Iristel is a VoIP provider that appears to sell access / Canadian phone numbers to overseas scammers. Their numbers pop up on forum posts here on a fairly regular basis.

The creepy thing is, they new the exact amound I previously owned about a week ago, down to the dollar and cents. I am the only person on my mbobility account, and I don't know how they figured out who my mom is, she is no where on my account, we don't live at the same address, and we don't have the same last name. So I called Telus and they said it was quite strange that they got some of this information, I changed my password and pin, but I am definitley creeped out. Luckily Telus said they will launch an investigation into the matter.
