Door to Door Salesmen
I just had a call from my mother in-law who was quite upset about some supposed Telus Door to door salesmen. They were trying to sell Telus security. They ended up entering the house and looking at the security system. Obviously a mistake to let them enter but certainly intruding more than they should.
The in-laws then called Telus, and telus said there is no promotion for any security. This man had a Telus badge.

I told my parents to not answer the door if they don't recognize the person. There's no reason for elderly people to answer the door for solicitors, legitimate or not, much less let them in. My mother-in-law doesn't speak English so she doesn't answer the door anyway.
