Telus Service Ripoff
I recently had an issue with one of my Telus Optik TV boxes. After doing everything I could think of to rectify the problem I called Telus customer service and requested a tech be sent to my house. I was told that the tech visit was going to cost $200, but the charge would be reversed if it was a Telus issue. Well, three weeks later the tech showed up and replaced the box and its power supply and issue was resolved. Clearly a Telus issue. I do not own the box. Now Telus refuses to reverse the charge claiming the tech advised them to charge me. It was a Telus solutions guy who came to my house, not a sub-contractor. I think he purposely told Telus to charge me so he could get his commission from Telus. I am livid about this. I will be filing a complaint with the CRTC regarding this issue.
