Replacing Telus Boost 6 Lite with a personal router
Hi all.
I want to use my personal router, but I need help setting it up, as the NH20A is new to me.
My current setup is: the SFP cable connects to a Nokia ONT > an Ethernet cable from the Nokia ONT to the NH20A network access hub > and another Ethernet cable from the NH20A network access hub to the Telus Boost Wifi 6 Lite.
Do I replace the Telus Boost Wifi 6 Lite with my own router? I assume the NH20A handles the firewall for the internet.
Thank you.
Yes, you can replace the Telus Boost Wifi 6 Lite with your own personal router, but you must configure the Telus NH20A (Network Access Hub) into bridge mode first so it stops acting as a router and firewall.
