NOT honoring "Buyer's Right to Cancel" - be careful!!

Hello,

I previously had a 2 year internet contract with TELUS that ended in December and was charged the month to month charge. Because that was more expensive, I decided to purchase a new contract with their Purefibre 1.5g instead of the previous 1g- with the caveat on their website and in the email that I received saying, "you may cancel this contract until 10days after you receive a copy of the contract."

I just got off with customer service and was told this does not apply to me because it is technically not a "new" service. Why then would you(TELUS) have that on your website or on the email of my new/modified contract??

How deceiving!! At least be transparent.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi Confused11 - There are terms and conditions but we can help clear things up. Is there a reason you want to cancel, or simply you are trying to figure out your options?
