Confusion around travel with former 5G+ Complete Explore plan

I was informed that my plan worked, including data in 68 countries with no extra fees and that it was locked in for 5 years. The contract also noted "Plan Coverage in Canada & 68 destinations" and also "Roaming Data Access in Canada & 68 destinations" I travelled to Mexico in February and was able to use my full monthly included data bucket at high speeds with no additional roaming pack or charges. I am going to Portugal this fall so I logged in to confirm that it is still listed as one of the included 68, which it is. But similar to the user in the above linked conversation, when I check my travel, it tells me that I need to purchase a roaming pack for Portugal. For interest, I checked Mexico, and it again indicated I need to purchase a roaming pack. I checked the USA and it stated this was included in my plan. I checked the current plans for details and see that my plan is no longer there. It is now Complete, Complete Ultimate, and Complete Explore Ultimate. I want to confirm that the 5G+ Complete Explore plan from January 2026 with the above contract notes still covers full plan roaming to the +68 countries. Thank you!

I have 3 phones on with Telus all using E-sim card Samsung 24 Ultra, Note 22,and Note 20 they are in the same house and all phones side by side only the 24 shows 5G the other two dont have any thing 5G lite nothing just shows the bars?

Telus Mobility 14 day Asia Pass $70
I’m travelling to Japan in a couple of weeks. Telus Mobility has an Asia Easy Roam 14 Day Pass for $70. The Telus Mobility website says that it includes Japan; however, the MyTelus app doesn’t include Japan in the app. From reading other posts, this is due to a “glitch” in the app. What I noticed is if you search in the app for other countries in the list, you can add the Asia Pass. I chose not to do this and instead contacted Mobility. They confirmed that Japan is included in the Pass and added it manually. When I looked at the Asia Pass that was manually included, it didn’t list Japan. I am interested in finding out if anyone has actually used the 14 Day Asia Pass in Japan in light of the fact that the app doesn’t specifically mention Japan. I don’t want to deal with any potential roaming charges. BTW, I’m aware of the option to use an eSim. I’ve used that option on other overseas trips.

I have the EPP 5G+ Premium Unlimited 100 - Unlimited Canada-US-MEX plan, can I call from Mexico to Canada and they can call me from Canada to Mexico?, Can I also use my data free o charge while in Mexico or Telus will charge me for roaming?

Global 68 - Coverage List
Traveling to Curacao soon and I'm a bit confused. When I check or search for Curacao, it's not on the 68 countries list, and it recommends that I pay the daily Easy Roam fee or buy a travel pass. But on the list of 68, they do list Netherlands Antilles. Isn't Curacao part of the Netherlands Antilles?"

Do callers know you are not in canada and roaming abroad?
If I’m travelling outside Canada and someone calls my Telus number, will they be able to tell I’m not in Canada? Like will anything show up differently on their end, or does it just ring through normally with my regular Canadian number showing? Im in italy right now btw.

Confusion around "travel" information and the 5G+ Complete - Unlimited Explore plan
I have a phone on the 5G+ Complete - Unlimited Explore plan. When I go to "Travel" on My Telus and I put in a country that I understand is supposed to be covered by this plan for calls and data roaming - eg. Australia (one of the 68 destinations covered) - it says "You're covered for Australia with Premium Easy Roam INTL - pay per use" instead of the saying "You’re covered for Australia with your 5G+ Complete Unlimited Explore". If this is true, there's clearly a problem. This plan says: - Unlimited talk and text in Canada and 68 international destinations - 5GB/day of roaming data in 68 international destinations at full speed, and unlimited data at up to 512Kbps thereafter - Easy Roam from $5/day outside included 68 international destinations.

Roaming charges even roaming is turned off
I was in the flight with my roaming turned off airplane mode on. I got charged by Telus for roaming! It was definitely not the case that my roaming was on and I forgot to turn it off. I suspect My Telus app on my phone uses data while you are traveling abroad and charges you for the roaming! My requests to Telus Support to clarify and remove these charges fell on deaf ears!
