Hi, I’m new with Telus, I got a Custom Home security system with monitored services. It happened a couple of times that the alarm went off, we opened a window or our dog triggered the glass break sensor No one from Telus/ADT ever called me. Not sure if the alarm must be triggered for a cert amount of time before they call me or is just my system that is not working or they are not providing a good service. I’m paying the monitored service and is just a couple of months now but I want to understand how this works and if is reliable. I'd like to report an incident involving unprofessional behaviour from a Telus employee and customer care representative. The employee visited my home after 8:30 PM, and despite my polite decline of the services, they continued to ask personal questions. They also made inappropriate comments about my security camera. When I called customer care to express my concern, the representative seemed dismissive and accused me of being a repeat caller, which was untrue. They also hung up on me. I appreciate Telus's efforts, but I believe there's a need for improvement in respecting customers' personal space and time, as well as in the customer care department's approach to addressing concerns. May be other customers feel the same pain/joy to approach Tech Support. Been trying to get hold of the tech support from couple of months for the issues in cameras and every time I try to approach via the number shared by TELUS on there website my efforts rendered useless and broke my heart like M leaf's. But tried again with enthusiasm next time. After trying many times in the span of 3 months I finally got hold Tech Support not sure how, same phone and same chatbot let my call go through. What a sign of relief and joy I felt have no words to describe. My alarm had been triggered a few times since having this service and I never received a call. I believe this is a breach of agreement where the provider is not able to fulfill their obligation. I'm moving into a house that already has Telus Home Security equipment's in place. It has iQ Panel and door/window sensors. Right now, when I open or close the door/window, it doesn't have the chime sounds. I have checked in the panel, in the PowerG test, all sensor have no signal, and I think that's why sensors are not pairing with the panel now. I tried to entered with installer code for advanced settings, but default code 1111 does not work. I am an old ADT customer transferred to Telus after their purchase of ADT. My security system is Honeywell Lynx Plus model L3000. My system needs service, either to replace a defective door sensor or reprogram to eliminate a Zone. Contacted Telus mid September to request service, given a ticket # and was told request would be escalated. After approx. a month of no contact or service call I followed up. Told the service call was NOT escalated, unable to find a technician who knows how to service my system. New service ticket prepared and promised the request would be treated as urgent and escalated. Several follow ups, still cannot find anyone who knows how to service my ADT system. Now almost waiting 2 months for Telus to find a technician who understands the ADT security system. It's a 15 minute reprogram job. No problems with ADT service, no problems with Telus service 6 years ago but today no one available. Okay, Eric from the Telus reddit said to post here, so this is pretty much my final attempt to get this resolved. Back in 2021-22 I had a Home Security account. I closed it in March of 2022, and received my final bill for $0.00 in June 2022. I have an email copy of this bill and a livechat agent confirmed the cancellation date for me a few days ago, since I didn't have an email record of that (I had cancelled over the phone). A few weeks ago I started receiving collections emails from General Credit Services saying I owe Telus $300 on that account. I have no idea where this came from or why it's sent to collections as I haven't received any communication from Telus about any outstanding balance. Since then, when I try to get info GCS and Telus are just bouncing the issue back and forth. The Telus livechat can't access my info because it was sent to collections. The collections company initially said they'd send a bill but never did, and now refuses to help because "Telus doesn't send bills for recently closed accounts." When I pointed out that it was closed 3.5 years ago they just said "the only way we'll stop harassing you is if you get Telus to say you don't owe anything." I really need someone who is able to see this account info to call or chat with me. I strongly suspect this was a billing error that got way out of hand, considering my last bill was $0 and I never heard from telus about cancellation fees or returned equipment not arriving at their warehouse. But if I can't get someone to talk to me about this I literally have no choice but to wait until the collection appears on my credit report and then file a dispute with all agencies. I have been trying for weeks to resolve this, but I really cannot just be sending a random company hundreds of dollars without knowing why. Plus, if there is some weird billing issue, paying GCS might not even solve it and then I'll be doing this all over again in a few months. Hi, we had two salespeople - looking like they were in their early 20's, one male and one female - arrive at my door today (20th of October). I forgot to verify their IDs but they were selling a bundled Telus ADT phone/internet package that included home security. There have been some scams in the neighborhood and I wanted to make sure they were legitimate. Hi - so, new to Telus services and read posts on accessing the Insurance Certificate - pretty straightforward and followed them. Was informed I'd receive a text to access the certificate - ok - no problem - that was the first call 3 days ago. - No text came to my verified mobile number. - On call #5 now and still no link to access the certificate and no explanation why. - When you call the listed number you aren't even given a choice to access a tier 2 support. I returned our outdoor camera in July 22, 2025 after talking with a Telus agent. He told I would remove the monthly security camera rental charge whdn I return the camera to Telus. We don't need the camera. We just joined the home security service for a bundle service discount. And the Telus did not mention on this rental charge. Anyway Telus is still charging the $5 monthly rentsl although i returned it through Canada Post. So i called Telus on the charge, and a Telus agent was asking the tracking number. I provided the tracking number, but the number showed only Multiple PIN. Abd she asked to visit a Canada Post office. The result was the same. The Canada post worker was saying the recepit with the tracking number is proving my return. Telus should remove the charge immediately if the company is not doing scam. Absolutely I returned the outdoor security camera. Also Telus increased ground home phone service charge although we are still in the original contract.
