connect app
5 TopicsConnect App doesn't pause
Have been an optik internet customer for a few years, but just tried to use the app for the first time 2 days ago because I want to be able to pause the kids internet at night since it's summer and they go to bed later than me. I can login to the app, it sees my Modem/Network Access Hub (Technicolor NH20T) and Boost Wi-Fi 6 (Arcadyan Boost 2.1), and shows the connected devices list. But when I try to pause one of the devices I get the error "Oops Your modem can only pause a maximum of 0 devices. Please unpause some devices and try again." I have tried doing a pinhole reset on the modem and on the boost then uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Once the app eventually found the modem online again and I tried to pause something again and got the same error. Called customer support, after an hour on the phone she was stumped and said she'll call me back (with no reference number or anything, I honestly didn't think she would) and she did call and leave me a message about 4 hours later saying this is a known issue and they are working on a solution and they will send out an update when it's fixed (when? how will I know?). Does anybody have any information to corroborate or contradict this? Or any suggestions for me?360Views0likes9CommentsCan't log in to Telus Connect app

Hi everyone, I recently moved and was upgraded from a TELUS Wi-Fi Booster 6 to a Wi-Fi Booster 7. The Booster 7 is connected and working (solid green light, Wi-Fi is stable), but it does not appear at all in the TELUS MyConnect app. The app only shows the old Booster 6. This is an issue because I want to use my old Booster 6 as a secondary node to extend coverage upstairs. TELUS instructions say boosters should form a mesh once added in the app, but I can’t add the Booster 7 at all. The QR code won’t scan, and manual setup just searches and fails to find the device. I managed to add the Booster 6, but it shows a red light and no internet connection, likely because the Booster 7 isn’t recognized. I’ve tried multiple restarts, factory resets, and setting up the Booster 6 with and without Ethernet cable connected, no luck. Has anyone successfully added a Wi-Fi Booster 7 to the Connect app? Is Booster 7 currently unsupported or incompatible? Is there a workaround to create a mesh with Booster 7 + Booster 6? Thanks in advance!879Views0likes1CommentInaccessible
I cannot for the life of me figure why I allowed this company's agents to entice me out sticking with Shaw. This company is the most inaccessible I've ever dealt with. On top of that, despite all their glorification of their fiber internet, I find their services to be very unreliable. The Telus Connect is ALWAYS giving me problems; whether I can't see any devices in it, or I cannot log in. I've been trying to log into the app from morning to turn the internet on some devices on. It has been telling me from that time until now "Oops, we are having a problem logging you in. Please try again later." I called and waited for an agent to come to me for over an hour and no one came on. Right at this moment I'm pondering just paying them off, pay the early disconnection fee and go back to Shaw. It's not as if this has been a one time thing; this is how it is. At this moment I'm tired of them and annoyed.170Views0likes1Comment
