Enterphone System Issue
I have been attempting to solve my problem - the enterphone system in our entrance requires a visitor to dial a 3 digit numer of the resident and when the resident answers they can buzz them in or not. For the last week I experienced a problem - when I answer the ring there is no response from the person who is requesting entry - instead it goes to voice mail and I am unable to speak with my visitor. Our building manager tried to buzz me and all he heard was the response from my voice mail. He told me that someone else in the building had experienced the same issue and had to contact Telus??? I have been trying to "contact" Telus but I never am able to speak to a real live human and the AI does not understand my issue. I don't think this is the problem. I have no difficulty in receiving incoming calls from other individuals. And, nobody else in our building is having the same issue. I have solved the problem with installing a land line with a different number which is recorded in the enterphone system. The building super called me on this number from the entry vestibule - I could hear his voice and I was able to open the entry door to the building lobby. Too bad I had to go to the extra expense, but this land line number will only be for this purpose. I will not use this phone for anything else.34Views0likes1CommentRe: Enterphone System Issue
I have reached the end of my patience. I decided to call again this morning -611- and went through the whole story again with another agent. He told me to stay on the line - I did - and about 10 min later I realized I was no longer connected. I called 611 again and once again had to repeat my story and I told the agent I had been discussing this with someone else and maybe he should find the first agent and let him deal with this. He told me to hang up and he would call me back. No callback came but when I happened to check the voicemail, I noticed there were two new messages(no notification that I had voicemail so now my phone is obviously not ringing and I am not receiving notifications either. No - installing and re-installing my phone number did not resolve the problem. And when I called the number the Telus agent gave me it was another circus. First I had to get through another AI and that made me even more upset. Finally got somebody in Mobility Tech Support - at s call centre somewhere in Central America, judging from her accent. She had difficulty in understanding what I was attempting to explain about the Enterphone. She then said she was having technical issues at her end and she would call me back. No callback. Thanks for the reply. I still have not solved the problem. I visited a Telus store today and the agent gave me a number to call. He also suggested that I should ask out Superintendent to remove my number and then reinstall it. He thought that may work. I am going to talk to our Super tomorrow. Last month my Home Services bill increased by $56 - my 2 Year Loyalty Discount had expired - guess I wasn't loyal enough to have it extended? Then yesterday I received my Mobility bill arrived and it has increased by $15. Apparently you have to call Telus and get transferred to some offshore call centre and beg Mr. Scrooge for another bowl of gruel! I'm sorry but I am not going to play their game. All of this could be avoided if telecommication companies from the USA were permitted to operate in Canada. I see commercials on TV for mobility plans that include unlimited talk, text, and data for $25 per month - and this was not one of the big three in the USA. We have 3 - Telus, Rogers and Bell. I just received my bill today and it has gone up from $108 to $166. The trouble with Telus is they never give any advance warning - guess they are too busy "Making the future friendly" instead of making sure their customer base is satisfied with the service they are receiving. I had the same issue last month with an increase and after being transferred to an agent (in the some other country) I thought the problem had been solved. I have spoken to others who have Telus as their provider and all have had similar experiences. I am referring to my WiFi. My PC used to automatically connect to the 5G. I do have 2.4G but it is much slower and that is what I am on now. The 5G network is no longer displayed on the list of available networks and this is why I am so frustrated with this. Why it disappeared on Thursday is beyond me. I did not change the setting. I don't think that it is a Telus issue because when I use my ipad it connects with the 5G network. I have Windows 10 on the PC . and am wondering if an update caused this problem though I cannot see an update on this day. I still can't solve the issue. Last week I discovered that my 5G network on my PC had disappeared from the list of available networks. However, on my ipad there was no problem - still connected to 5G. I have tried to "talk" to someone, but apparently this is considered unacceptable in the tech world. Since I did not change any settings on my PC I am very confused as to why this has happened. Not being very tech savy makes it even more frustrating because all downloads are so slow on 4G and streaming is totally out of the question. Anybody who has a suggestion please contact me.
