I am told by Telus there is no compatible outside siren for 5G platform. Well that is not good enough. My old 3G platform had a lovely LOUD siren outside my house. Surely it can be connected up to the new system with a little thought. 5G sends a signal when a door is opened Couldn't the siren be connected to that signal with a relay if necessary to handle the larger current, I have this big panel in my basement and they connected to it so it must be doing something. There must be a wire in there that is sending a signal to the service or what ever. I hope some electronics genius can answer this for me. Telus is no help. they just say no not possible but don't even think about it.

While our current 5G platform doesn’t support an official outdoor siren directly, there may indeed be alternative ways to set one up with some customization. Your idea about using a relay to respond to the door signal could be feasible with the right setup, though it would need to be done with caution. While it is out of our support area, here are some possible routes:
Third-Party Sirens: Some third-party smart home sirens might work if integrated via platforms that support Telus systems, though this would likely require extra compatibility checking.
Wired Relay Setup: If you can identify the correct wiring within your existing control panel, an electronics specialist may be able to design a relay circuit. This could allow a siren to trigger based on a signal from the panel, though keep in mind this would be outside the officially supported configurations.
Smart Home Hubs: Depending on your existing smart home setup, some hubs (like SmartThings) can pair with external sirens and could provide similar alert functions.
