Scheduled recordings stop working

I have a schedule set to record the morning news. Several times now it has stopped working. When I look at the scheduled episodes, the next episode to be recorded is approximately 10 to 14 days in the future. The only way I can get the recordings working again is to delete the series and recreate it.

It just occurred to me that Telus actually does relie on shows with embedded information from which to determine a series. Rather than the old school way of record every week this channel at this time.

The latter explains why series that start a new season did not record properly, explains why shows that occurr on the same day, same time do not record because that embedded info is missing.

News shows are not the only ones with this issue
