Nothing ruins your experience as quickly when you receive unwanted text messages and phone calls on your iPhone. With iOS 10, you can now filter your calls and text messages from numbers you want to block.
How to block your text messages.
- Start by going to the conversation of the message and phone number you want to block. Then select the info icon in the top right.
- On the details page, select the number at the top.
- Scroll down until you block this correspondent.
How to block calls.
- In the device app, select info next to the phone number you want to block.
- This option will show you your contacts details screen. Scroll down and select block this contact.
How to manage blocked calls.
Sometimes you don't want to stay mad for too long. Here you can unblock phone numbers. This method works for calls as well as texts.
- Open your settings and select phone.
- Select Blocked Calls and Identification
- On the next screen, select edit at the top right
- Tap the red minus sign icon next to the phone number.
- Unlock will appear on the right, tap on the selected phone number.
- If you change your mind, tap Block Contact.
