Printing via port 9100 blocked on Telus wifi

Hi all,

I have a T3200M modem/router. I was able to print fine for a long time, but recently that ability disappeared. I think it is because the Telus wifi router is now blocking port 9100 in my house (can't telnet to that port when connected to Telus wifi). When I connect to an access point on an ancient wifi router I have laying around, I can access port 9100 fine, and I can print. Anybody have a workaround? I guess I would also ask why Telus would block anything inside a home network?

Cheers,

Chris

Try rebooting the T3200M. I doubt the router is blocking any ports on the LAN side. Did you change any firewall rules on the router?

Possibly a result of using a dynamic IP address instead of a static one for your printer. Your printer may have been recently assigned a new IP address but you are still printing to the old address? Are you receiving any error message(s) that might clarify the issue?
