The panel left on the ground and the rest of the mess was finally attended today by actual Telus tech Vahid, not a contractor that had messed earlier. It turned out that the panel cover could be inserted and left unlocked in the absence of the special locking key.
Vahid also checked the huge casing gap on the back-alley pole (still duct-taped over), explained it was handled by an other group but committed flagging them the problem. I trust it will come true some day and will close this. What a relief...
Telus Community asked me if I was satisfied of the resolution of the problem, which consisted at pushing back to Rogers/Shaw with who the telephone pole casing gaping hole is shared, and closing the Skeleton trouble ticket I somehow managed to open earlier on. I was asked to simply follow up with them since it was not solely a Telus problem. Of course, Rogers/Shaw mainly avoided after I spent countless hours trying to convince various customers support folks that they needed to work out this issue with Telus. I didn't even manage to get a trouble ticket or file pix, and the chat exchange with "technical support" kept going to limbo where it stands now. So I ended up grey "duct taping" myself the gaping hole to prevent against critters, water ingress and vandalism. It is a temporary solution that at least looks better that the earlier neighborhood eyesore. Oh sigh.
