Missing Channels

We just upgraded to the new Optik units.  Many channels are missing, namely those I previously had access to in the 2 to 99 range and 2924 to 9210 range.  We enjoyed some of the music channels.  I talked to a Telus technician and was told that these will not be available under the new equipment.  There was no mention of this in any previous communications.  I don't understand how Telus can arbitrarily downgrade their service and keep charging the same amount per month.
