I want to highlight the solution again for newcomers to this complicated thread. My Honeywell red link stopped working after my wifi upgrade to wifi6 smart modems. Strangely I could get it to work briefly for 5 mins at a time after a complete system reboot and plugging it’s Ethernet cable into either the NAH or the boost wifi modem. But then it would loose internet connection each time. The solution as described in this thread is to access the admin panel for the NAH then find the LAN settings and turn on bridge mode for one specific port (which you can do for lan port 1 using the small drop down selection). Then after the Nas reboot just plug the Redlink Ethernet into this LAN port 1 (you might have to switch an existing cable to another port to free it up). At last my redlink system works again!

Hello SmopresGuy, thank you for the post.
I used bridging Lan1 port solution 3 years ago and it worked well, however I moved last month and got new Telus modem. I tried bridging solution and change address to NAH - it didn't work anymore.
Honeywell told me that they can see my RedLink registering for a second or two, however it doesn't stay for any lenghth in stable connection.
Did anything change in software/firewall protection in Telus modems? Any new suggestions how to connect RedLink to Telus modem?

5 months agoHey ericwitko, can you clarify, are you using both the bridging and the IP address range change? If so, that is not expected, and you should be using only the ip address change. Bridging will create unnecessary exposure to the internet on your Honeywell device, as there is no protection in play.
If you are using the steps outlined above, you should be able to connect and manage your Honeywell devices.

Hi SmoresGuy,
I tried IP change address method. Nothink happened after reboot... I was persistent and kept registering my modem. After about 20min it worked. Thanks for the tips. Regards, Eric
