Deleting a recording I just watched

There has to be an easier way to delete a recording I just watched. I know I can go back into recordings and delete it but why can't it just be deleted without having to do a bunch of extras steps. Am...

At the end of the recording you push 'stop' then 'delete' then 'confirm delete'.

If my remote had a stop or delete button, I definitely would have used them but it has neither option.
