Constant WIFI drops on IPAD - Arcadyan modem

T3200M modem recently replaced by Arcadyan modem which does not have the ability to create separate  2.4 & 5 ghz connections.  When the T3200s were up everything worked very well across the home.  Only problem was T3200s were flaky and required multiple replacements as they constantly needed reboots or rebooted themselves often.  With the Arcadyan modem the internet connection is stable but now certain Apple devices will not hold on to the wifi.  I have reset network settings on the IPAD and performed all recommended troubleshooting measures to no avail.  The problem only started with the install of the Telus Arcadyan wifi hub.  I could go back to a T3200M and hope to get one with good build quality.   Thoughts?

Have you reviewed the discussion here about 2.4 and 5 GHz connections?

I have had no issues with iPad connection to the Arcadyan Hub in recent months. I saw drops of a few seconds about a year ago, if I recall.
