Receiving SMS messages on a prepaid plan
I was told by Telus that I can receive SMS messages on my prepaid plan while traveling in Europe. If this is true does anyone know how to set up a phone to allow messages to be received? THX

I was traveling in Southeast Asia and needed to verify a Canadian banking app, but my Telus prepaid SIM wasn’t receiving SMS even though data worked fine. Didn’t want to risk missing important codes. Found 7sim.net — picked a Canadian number directly in the browser, no registration needed. The verification SMS arrived in under two minutes. Since it’s a real SIM-based number, not VoIP, the bank accepted it. Didn’t have to pay for roaming or use my personal number.

Changed to monthly plan online.
