Not angry, but disapointed

I was a Telus internet customer a while back. I was told maybe within the year that fiber will be installed in my area, this was constant year after year. I needed faster internet and had to go with Shaw. After Rogers took over Shaw, it seemed everything went down hill. So, I checked if fiber was available in my area and it's still not, my city had fiber for about 10 years. I was on chat and was told that there was a build for my address, I have the chat log.

I phoned to further information. After deliberation, I came to find out; he can not see a build in my area, or doesn't have the tools to see one, and I can't even get copper internet because there are no more ports.

All of the copper ports taken up in my area. I know that copper was not expanded after some date, it still means that there are customers. I just want to know why it has been 10 years and I still don't have fiber.

There are a number of factors that come in to play in terms of infrastructure, from cost to wiring in specific locations. While we can't give a definitive timeline for a specific area here, when we branch out into new neighbourhoods, we do canvass the area to make everyone aware.
