Hi vensil6969 - Nighthawk is correct in that it should have been 192.168.1.254

I wonder if they meant 192.168.1.254. That's usually Telus's router IP address.

NAT basically acts as a digital trafiic controller between your home devices and the wider internet. In online gaming, it's essentially how easily your home network connects with other players during games, so if it's strict it can definitely impede smooth gameplay. Here are a few steps to try to get it taken care of:
1. While connected to your Wi-Fi network at home, open a web browser (desktop or phone), go to 192.168.1.1 and log in using the Admin Password that should be on the sticker attached to your TELUS Smart Hub.
2. Go to 'LAN Settings / DHCP'.
3. Locate your son's gaming console in the list of connected devices and select 'Reserve IP / Static Lease' so its network address never changes.
4. Then in the Smart Hub portal, go to 'Advanced Settings > UPnP (or NAT / Firewall)'.
5. Toggle Enable UPnP to On. Click Save / Apply.
That should do the trick, but if it still shows a Strict NAT when he's playing, there's one more thing to try.
In that same portal, go to 'Security > DMZ Host'. Enter the static IP address that was assigned to his gaming console up in Step 1. Save the change and reboot both the TELUS Smart Hub and his console.
If these don't do the trick, the last thing to try would be connecting the console via a wired Ethernet cable if possible. Let us know if that works!
