TELUS_Support A few weeks ago I received an email saying your Optik TV tuner is randomly shutting off, we are sending you a new power cord, or words to that effect as I deleted it as a Phishing email and we are not having problems currently. I did however in the past year get a replacement tuner when I contacted support about the very problem of which resulted in my finding that the power supply was the issue and not the tuner box. When I received the new tuner it came complete with a new power cord. I unplugged the old box and plugged the new box into the old power supply to find the new box did not work either. An epiphany caused me to use the new power cord on the old box and voila it also worked. Well to my surprise today I received a new power supply cord, no charge I am aware of. Of course my amazon delivered cord has not failed since January so I will keep this as a spare. My question, is Telus sending out new power supply to all customers and acknowledging the many problems were caused by the supply cord. Thank you.Solved499Views0likes2Comments
