Re: Smarthome App vs Apple OS 26.1 & 2
I toggled off the "limit IP address tracking" and also rebooted iPhone. Still got the same result "An unexpected error occurred please try again" and this was followed a minute later by "Login failed due to a network connection error". Try Again". Tried twice with same result. Spent Christmas away from home and used cellular data to control temperature and monitor system. Also used Apple to control my lights and everything worked fine.8Views0likes0CommentsRe: Smarthome App vs Apple OS 26.1 & 2
I have un-installed and re-installed multiple times without success. Another thing: I can log into My Telus web (using Safari) portal, go to overview and click on "manage" under smart home security, get directed to another page to click on "manage" again, another page opens to load security details and stalls. No details ever get loaded.57Views0likes1CommentSmarthome App vs Apple OS 26.1 & 2
After upgrading to iOS 26.1 for iPhone the Smartphone app stopped working on my home wi-fi. Simply get spinning logo and error message that an "unexpected error has occurred, try again". The app also reported having a connectivity issue. When I turn off wi-fi and use cellular data everything works fine. I cannot even log in to web portal on Mac under OS 26.1. I am currently using 26.2 on both but the same situation occurs. All other apps including My Telus work just fine. The control panel is connected to my wi-fi and works fine. My wife's iPhone has yet to be upgraded and it works with the Smarthome app. I contacted my ISP for Router concerns but the Router settings are working and like I said everything else connects and runs. Only the Smarthome app does not work with the current operating systems. Prior to the upgrade everything was working. Anyone have any suggestions or does Telus have to play catch up with the app?? One other fact, I can use Firefox to log in to the Telus Smart Home web portal for some reason but not Safari?95Views0likes5CommentsRe: Panel Voice not functioning
The problem may have originated with the Telus SmartHome app. I initially installed replacement lock using the app. To fix this issue I had to remove the installed lock keeping the lock intact and connected to key pad. I removed lock and reconnected successfully by using the panel. With my first attempt I disconnected the lock from the key pad but that meant the lock was initially installed insecurely. I removed, connected the key pad and tried again successfully. Voice panel now activates when lock activated and everything appears to be working as intended. It is quite possible as the garage is located some distance from the panel that using the app prevented a clean install due to connectivity between panel and app.1.5KViews0likes0CommentsPanel Voice not functioning
Replaced a door lock due to intermittent off and on line issue. Panel voice would announce lock and unlock when lock activated. After replacing the old lock, the panel voice no longer functions with replacement. Panel voice vocalization for sensors is ticked and works with other locks. Is the lock possibly faulty or does something need to be reactivated? The replacement provided is a Weiser SmartKit 620Solved1.6KViews0likes2CommentsRe: SmartHome App Apple Watch
Thanks for responding. Apparently the issue requires an update to the app so that it is compatible with the Series 9 Apple Watch. When and if this happens is an open question. Again thanks for taking the time to try and address this issue. Steve [mod edit - private info]3.2KViews0likes2CommentsSmartHome App Apple Watch
Upgraded to Series 9 Apple Watch. Telus SmartHome app works on the watch except when trying to access thermostat settings. When trying to access heat, schedule or fan settings the app crashes and returns to watch face. Have tried resetting Apple Watch, removing and reinstalling app but nothing works to get full functionality of app on Apple Watch. Anyone experiencing similar problem or any fix.Solved3.3KViews0likes4Comments
