Re: Addressing protocol in Telus emails and in online messages to customers
I'm sorry but I don't undertsand your reply. TWICE I have raised this issue, the first time it may have been the address in an email but this time it was a message on my community page (forget the details).1.2KViews0likes1CommentRe: how to set number of rings before my greeting message plays
Thanks, I didn't know what Voice Mail Access Number was. The linked reference page doesn't provide a link or a help bubble for its definition, nor does it allow copy paste to go into Google with it. Pretty sad for an outfit the size of Telus!1.4KViews0likes0Comments4G or NOTHING?
I live in the sticks with no other internet except my hot-spot, no low-speed data coverage and my contract says so many GB's worth of high speed data after which it's low-speed. The problem is that there is NO low-speed data service. This amounts to fraud I think. Last month I blew my limit 3 days before the end of the month and ended up with no internet! Will I have to launch a collective lawsuit to change things or just file with the Communications Commission asking to force the averaging out of usage over the previous 12 months?1.3KViews0likes3CommentsAddressing protocol in Telus emails and in online messages to customers
I'm being addressed such as "Hi, FamilyName", either some monkey could not decode a complicated from that says 1st Name= xxxx & Family Name = yyy or some even worse moron thinks that it is proper to address people by their family name only. You can address people by their full name or by their 1st name. I've never heard of civilized people addressing someone called Bill Jackson as "Hi there, Jackson". Is this a Telus protocol?1.3KViews0likes3Comments- 1.5KViews0likes2Comments
Re: hotspotting with s24(wife) VS Flip5(me)?
I think my 50gb limit has already been reached but that should only mean that I'm down to normal speed instead of high speed. Where is it then, 'normal' speed that is? Or is dead stop the normal speed? I've also reset the phone to factory, no change, I'm on my wife's phone again. Our normal provider's equipment is down and will remain so until April or May.1.5KViews0likes0Commentshotspotting with s24(wife) VS Flip5(me)?
My wife has an Samsung s24 I (a smartphone newbie) have a Flip5, she has a 25gb hi-speed account I have 50gb but we have no 5g service in our area and even the so called high-speed is more like a crawl. I can use her phone to connect via wifi hot-spot or tethered but not mine and I'm turning blue in the face trying to find out *WHY* (MY own hot-spot has worked a few times but it's been iffy). It seems that the difference arises from the differences in the phones, in their setup, or the accounts. What should I compare to find the problem? I use neither microsoft nor apple products (boot a different Linux system every day of the week, all use NetworkManager) and I have no MyTelus nor MyGoogle accounts on my phone (don't want any either until everything gets sorted out), but as I said ity works with her phone. Thanks in advance for any wisdom especially based on experience with similar givens 🙂1.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Where is the PROPER Samsung Z-Flip5G user manual????
I looked for it on the Samsung & Telus web sites; Samsung who made it and Telus who sold it to me. I tried to fill out a form on the telus web site, it didn't work, I tried to post the snapshot, it didn't work. I had already wasted toner printing out the wrong manual for a Z Flip5G. The place it should have been, printed, was in the box with the phone. But none of this is your fault, thanks for the link.4.7KViews0likes0Comments
