Telus email account through Gmail

Hello

I have a Telus powered Gmail Account. My old Telus Email Account was switched over to a Telus powered Gmail Account.

I want to backup all my Gmail Account email folders to my backup Hard Drive. When I navigate to Google Takeout to accomplish this task, it states Admin will not allow use of Google Takeout. I am assuming the Admin is Telus, can I get around this? I think its a joke Telus switched our Emails Accounts over to Gmail Accounts but block many of the Gmail Account features. WTF! Garbage service!

Hi Bigo, looks like this issue was discussed in the thread at https://forum.telus.com/t5/My-Home-Account/Telus-email-on-Google/m-p/115133 and a workaround proposed there as well.
