Optik on Apple TV won't show prior hours content
Optik TV on the Apple TV used to allow you to watch earlier content but in the last few weeks it won't allow me to rewind, or play a show from the start, or even go to an earlier show in the day and ...
Up until last week I was able to go to CNN channel up until 5:55pm then hit restart and then fast forward through the slow stuff and ads. This no longer works. Why?

TELUS Team MemberIn general, the ability to fast forward restarted and On Demand programming (or restrictions thereof) are dictated to TELUS by the content provider (CNN in this case). You would notice an on-screen message that states "Fast forward is not permitted by the content provider". If this ability previously existed and has changed, it is for one of 2 reasons: 1. the content provider changed what they allow TELUS to do or 2. there was a bug/defect that was resolved in order to abide by the content provider's requirements.
If the ability to fast-forward through commercials or 'slow stuff' is important, I would recommend setting a series recording of the show.
