hi, I received a text message awhile ago from 777222. the sender wanted to help me troubleshoot our internet connection. I initially arranged a time for the call but then couldnt shake the feeling it was a scam of some sort,  is this a legitimate communication method employed by telus techs?   thx

I think it's a scam, received the same text as well as a phone call. Seemed sketchy, just hung up and blocked the number. Why would Telus want to troubleshoot my internet connection when I don't have a issue.

PS. and why doesn't Telus not follow the CRTC no call list protocols. Tired of their sales call at all hours of the day. My number is registered on the do not call list.

I got the text and it has nothing to do with internet issues, just a pretext to try and upsell.
