Renegotiated Contract - Continuous Internet Issues
Bit of a rant over a question......In the 10 years we've had the package that we have with Telus, we have yet to experience more than a couple months without some sort of disruption. It hasn't been the absolute end of the world,as the issues have allowed me to renegotiate my contract every couple years but I JUST renegotiated again and since doing so, our internet is down multiple times a day. I work from home, so this is dually frustrating. Every time a technician comes out, they go through all the regular silliness of resetting all of our boxes, modem etc only to find that the "problem" is coming from a port at the community Telus box. This is the 3rd year I am hearing of this same thing. It's already annoying enough to not have access to fibre in such a new area, but absolutely drives me bonkers to lose work and not be able to dictate information as it comes. I also have to be on video meetings often and constantly lose connection. This makes my day extra long and exhausting. I guess my question is.....after 3 years of the same issue being relayed to me by lead techs WHY has fixed and WHY am I paying for internet that operates at 80%? Even trying to post this comment the internet kicked out AGAIN. I also have a beef about my security not working that we pay for but that's for another day......981Views0likes3CommentsArborist Hit Fibre Optic Cable
We are trying to get ahold of Telus yesterday and today to no avail. Our arborist hit an optic cable that wasn't even 6" in the ground along a tree line. The grinder then pulled approximately 30-40ft of line out. Anyone know of a direct way to get ahold of Telus SERVICE? The last customer service agent we spoke to hung up on us and didn't call us back (despite that we were on the call-back list?) We just need to know what we should do and what to expect.
