Re: Telus Online Security Upgrade Problem
Since my Norton account wasn't fixed by Telus support, I waited for my Telus Online Security subscription to expire. When that expired, I logged into Norton and deleted my data. When I subscribed again, Telus gave me the exact same activation code which does not work with Norton as it was previously used. I now need a new activation code.231Views0likes1CommentTelus Online Security Upgrade Problem
Is it really 3 to 5 days for Subscription services support? That's what the contact form stated. With the discount on Telus Online Security, I ordered the "Complete" offering. I later decided to upgrade to the "Ultimate" plan and did it online. While the billing immediately updated, my account with Norton didn't. It's still showing the limits of the "Complete" offering and is asking me to activate credit services, which still appears to be active under the "Complete" limitations. When I try to reactivate the credit services, it fails. I called Norton support and they told me Telus put me on the wrong plan, and that my current plan doesn't even have credit monitoring. So now I have to wait for someone from Telus to look into this in "3 to 5" days? If I cancel entirely and signup again, it looks like I might lose the current 24 month discount.Solved490Views0likes3CommentsRe: 4k PVR and Activation Code Problem
They were suppose to text my sister an activation code, but instead they said they made "changes to the account" and that it should work. Of course, those "changes" did nothing. Telus is threatening to charge her if they have to show up to fix the problem. There is nothing a tech can do anyways, if they can't custom program the PVR. We've been long time customers of Telus, and it's not our fault. All we want is an activation code.4.6KViews0likes4Comments- 5.1KViews0likes2Comments
4k PVR and Activation Code Problem
My sister's 4k PVR was a little problematic, so several months ago we received a replacement. The PVR replacement asked for an Activation Code which Telus did not provide. We ended up sending it back and sticking with the old PVR. The old PVR finally kicked the bucket. The new 4k PVR is again asking for an Activation Code on the screen. I was on the phone with Telus for over a hour and they asked me to pull the plug 3 times to get the box to reset. After it re-downloaded the configuration, the request for an Activation Code appeared on the screen like before. Telus tells me they no longer use Activation Codes, so they are sending another box. I have a strong feeling the next box will also require an Activation Code. The setup is a standalone, wired PVR with two wireless TV terminals connecting to the T3200M modem/router. The two terminals work for watching TV, but no programs can be recorded. Trying to avoid the cloud box. Has anyone encountered this problem before and what was the resolution?5.6KViews0likes15CommentsRe: Telus Home Assistant Problems
The same problem exists with Google Home and Amazon Alexa, so it's not specific to one vendor. I'm guessing the ability to change channels by name conflicted with Telus's home security offerings, so they disabled that ability. I have not received a clear answer from Telus about this. They don't seem to care about this functionality.8.9KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Telus Home Assistant Problems
I phoned Telus and the person I talked to created a ticket for some other techs to look into it. He followed up a few days later with me, but nothing has been done. Maybe Google changed the underlying coding for home control and Telus didn't update their code? The new boxes aren't integrated with Google? Can you change channel by voice? The 5 day recording limitation is what prevented me from getting the new box.9.1KViews1like1Comment
