Re: Any Mobility Small business experts out there?
..so it looks like no response from Telus on this. Next Friday I will switch out account to either Bell or Rogers at Costco. Our savings will be $20/mth, but our service will be substantially better, (100gb, USA/Mexico Roaming). BYOD, no contract. So, after 35 years we will move on. Core principle of most businesses, 'your best customer is your existing customer'. Except at Telus.31Views0likes0CommentsAny Mobility Small business experts out there?
Been a small business customer since 1990 with BC Tel mobility, then Telus. Several years ago, (5+) we took advantage of an affinity plan with CFIB. We have 4 lines, sharing 10 gb of data between 4 phones. The plan is the 'Peace of Mind'. The current price is $55.00/line including a $20.00 'discount.' Since we enrolled in this plan better plans have become available through CFIB. They are cheaper, have substantially more data, and most importantly include US and Mexico data and voice roaming. We are in the US constantly and pay through the nose, for the 12/day 'easyroam' package. So much so that we have 2 US numbers to lessen the cost. We have been told in no uncertain terms by Telus and CFIB that we are not eligible for any new rate because, although we are not technically in a 'contract', for this purpose we are and therefore are not eligible for service at a better rate. Unless of course, we buy new handsets. We buy our own, and do not need new ones. Anything available to us would be substantially more expensive that we pay now. Other than buying new phones, we see 2 alternatives; move to another carrier, or cancel the service entirely, port the numbers to the users and have them pay for whatever service they choose to have and reimburse them. Telus charges consumers less and offers more than they do small business. We don't want the complication of changing carriers, but we are being penalized for our 35 years + of being a good customer. We have explored other affinity offers, but the answer is always, 'no' for the same reasons. Telus consistently makes it harder and harder to continue to be a customer. Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks!52Views0likes2Commentsoptik TV billing
Ideally, I'd be able to pick up the phone and ask someone, not so with Telus..I am trying to determing why the TV portion of our account has increased $13.19/month, even though our service has not changed. All I can see is a 'premium add on discount" of $11.00 has decreased to $2.40. No idea what this even means or why it's changed. The amount of debiting and crediting going on is worse than a bank statement.223Views0likes1CommentPricing issues
We are a small business with 4 phones. We've been a customer since 1990. In the last year two of our phones are charged at a base monthly rate of $47.50, while 2 are now being charged at a rate of $59.00. The plan is the same. This of course does not include add-ons, usage charges or taxes. After hours on the phone with the 'call centre', the best they can offer is that two of the phones had a lower rate associated with new activations. This is not true, all the phones have been active for many years. I'm currently on hour 2 of holding for a 'supervisor'. Not optimistic. Any thoughts?1.6KViews0likes1Comment
