An update. I phoned Telus Support yesterday evening and talked to a friendly Telus Home Phone rep who escalated the issue to a manager. Talking with the manager he was able to provide me a solution which I was happy with. For the record: Telus does not provide these adapters itself.11KViews0likes0CommentsRe: 1 (888) 811-2323
A lady with a strong Asian accent phoned me from this number TELUS 1-888-811-2323. Said she was phoning from Telus but could not verify my address on the account. Asked if I wanted to be listed in the directory with 1) Full address 2) Partial (street name) 3) Just the City 4) Other. I asked her if she could give more info about my account. Her answer was that she could not give this to me for privacy reasons.... I asked her for the number of Telus and to give Telus a call myself. She gave me a this number: 310-2255... Thanks. A rotary phone is too slow to phone outside using fiber; the server at Telus expects a faster communication for just the 10 numbers. A rotary phone works without electricity. We live in an old 1914 house with two rotary phones that do no longer work after fibre upgrade. Dial tone is present but phoning to outside line no longer works.
