Re: telus gmail migration: can't access my google groups:contact Organization Administrator for access
The telus email account on google is limited to email only so does not have access to all the other things you use with your google id - (groups, YouTube, blogger, etc). I was migrated last year. I am the owner of a google group, so I was affected. I noticed before the migration (from blogger) that my google id had morphed into a new temporary name. The format is telus_name%[email protected] where telus_name is your telus email id. This is done in the Google universe so that your new Telus.net email account does not conflict with your original telus.net google id when your telus email account is migrated to gmail. The telus.net name was an alias prior to the migration, so I could still logon to Google functions. I went into my google group and added my telus email id as a second google group member prior to the migration. I forget the exact steps I took before and during the migration to create and merge accounts. I now have a gmail.com email id and that is my main google id to access google apps. My google logon shows both accounts, and I can log onto either to access gmail. My gmail.com id has my original join date in my google group. My gmail.com id is a separate account for gmail and it works for other google functions. Somehow during the migration, my temp account was associated to my new google.com id. I have 2 separate gmail accounts, my converted telus.net account, and my new gmail.com account. Sorry for the long explanation. The useful information is that your google id may still exist as the temporary gtempaccount.com id described above. You might be able to log into google with this id, and access your google apps. Not sure if you can assign this old google id to a new gmail.com google account to keep your app personal data intact. If not, then the other option is to create a separate, brand new gmail.com id to access google apps. Good Luck21KViews1like4CommentsBoost Wi-Fi with T3200m in other room
I have Telus Fibre and my ONT and T3200M router/modem are located in my Family Room where my main TV is located. The Optik PVR is ethernet connected. The Wifi is poor in the living room, and I am thinking about getting a Boost WiFi to help fix that. I have an ethernet connection running from the T3200M to my den for my computer. I have looked at the Boost set up instructions online, and numerous Forum posts on the subject. Normally, you would put the first Boost unit next to the T3200M, and turn off Wifi on the T3200m, unless you have wireless Optik TV. My plan is to set up the first Boost device in the den with ethernet (after adding an ethernet switch), and the second Boost wirelessly in the living room. I want to leave the T3200M Wi-fi on in the Family Room to get the best signal there. If all devices share the same SSID, will I be able to move from room to room without dropping connections? The other option would be to see if I can upgrade to the newer Wi-Fi Hub. Can a Boost Wi-Fi be connected to it with a wired connection on the Same SSID? Thanks for any answers.2.1KViews0likes1CommentRe: Gmail Migration - New Support Content
Thanks for the reply, NFtoBC. Yes, she has tried a number of times, always with the same result. It is the exact same issue a WarG reported two weeks ago. We are not wanting to sit on hold to talk to someone who might not be able to help. The link you gave sends me to the same pages we have read a few times already. I think we will have to try an online agent.39KViews0likes1CommentRe: Gmail Migration - New Support Content
Is there contact information to get assistance for this process? My wife is trying to schedule her migration and the link at the bottom of the first page seems to be dead. She has filled out the page with selecting her date, etc, but it will not take her to the next step.24KViews0likes0Comments
