Re: Telus Business Practices during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hmmm sounds like Telus must have spent a crap load of money recently and is looking for was to save money perhaps... Of course the will do that on our backs as customers all while not supporting existing products..... Great company... Not...5.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Telus Billing Fraud? Telus stole my money and would not give back!!!!
If I were you I would call and ask to speak to the national escalation manager team. Unless you are going buy/increase your bill with Telus the level of support falls off. To non existent..... I'm still waiting on a callback from them. The level of support is a joke!!!6.5KViews1like0CommentsRe: Separate Wifi Booster and Main Connection
First off you have the wrong modem. Telus best practice IS that on pure fibre with the 1 gig and up connection you should have the wireless hub. On to the next issue. You have a Telus modem. Get rid of it. Unless you have Telus Optik TV. The biggest issue with Telus is the modem and firmware in it. I no longer have a Telus modem. I run 3rd party. Better wifi coverage and they actually support the product. If you want/need more help DM me for more information.4.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to Replace Telus Boost with 3rd Party Mesh System - With Telus Fiber 150 (Optic)
Also connect all Telus tv boxes to the remaining 2 ports. If you need more than 2, call Telus and ask for loyalty and retention, and talk them into giving you a Telus approved switch for tv. They have them5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to Replace Telus Boost with 3rd Party Mesh System - With Telus Fiber 150 (Optic)
Best option is to login to the TWH (white trash can modem, enable port bridging on port 1. Run a cat5 from the TWH, that way you avoid a double NAT, to the erro system. And you will have a vastly better wifi. Telus firmware has huge issues with Apple products. Telus is very much aware of this. Have been for months and months. Still not fixed.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Increasing Gigabit speeds
So if I'm understanding this correctly you want to game and use you gig fibre connection? Run a cat5 or 6 from the modem to the gaming device. Period. The boost is it hardwired or using a wireless back haul? If a wireless back is used and it's not the best connection, it do matter how close you are. Also Telus firmware sucks. The t3200 has issues with 1gig plans (Telus knows about, the BP is to install a TWH) if you have boost I would also run a cat5e or better to all access points. Hardwired backhaul means :hundred_points: signal when you're 10' from the AP. Also if you're on fibre and don't have Telus optik tv why use their equipment? You don't need it. Go look in 3rd party. Run a cat5e from the ONT (white box the fibre is connected to about 4x6") to the 3rd party gear and boom you're online with vastly superior quality wifi!!?17KViews0likes1CommentRe: Port Forwarding on Telus WiFi Hub
If you have Telus tv then all of the tv boxes need to be connected to a Telus modem. You could put the hub into bridge mode and run 2 networks. One for tv using the Telus modem and then what ever you want to use for your regular internet as a router. Myself personally I stopped using a Telus modem as I found the firmware to have too many issues. So I run a Ubiquiti mesh system and I have not had issues since making that change. But I also don't have Telus tv.22KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Bad Customer Service
It could have something to do Telus putting the majority of the call centers in other parts of the world to exploit the cheaper labor force and cost of living. I mean especially in a pandemic. One would hope that a National carrier would want to also support the Nation it's in by employing more people in that Nation.2.8KViews2likes0Comments
