Disney+ Promotion (24 month subscription) : Premium instead of Standard?
I signed up for Telus Mobility, and was offered 24 months of free Disney+ subscription. Appently it is only the Disney+ Standard tier ($11.99/month), not Disney+Premium (14.99/month). I would like the Premium suscription, and I am willing to pay the $3/month difference. If I sign up for Premium, will I still receive the 11.99 as a credit on my monthly bill? I was told to use this website to sign up: https://www.telus.com/en/shop/subscriptions/disney Alternatively, should I sign up for Standard and try to upgrade somehow after the fact?Solved3.5KViews0likes1Comment4k: VIP5602 vs Telus21K/Android STB
I am planning to stick with the legacy Telus Optik 4K box (VIP5602), as opposed to "upgrading" to the new Telus 21K based Android box. I have heard the video qualitry/compression is not as good on the Android box, and there are some bugs to to work out. Will future/additional 4K channel offerings be limited to the Telus21K box? I have heard part of the reason Telus moved to this new platform was to "allow more 4k content"? Does this mean (for some techinical reason) the VIP5602 cannot handle as many 4k channels?1.3KViews0likes1CommentDo you have to upgrade to 21T
I currently have the older Optik 4k boxes and are happy with them. If I renew by contract/ term , will telus force me to replace my existing boxes with the 21t/ Jade android based cloud boxes ? I don’t want to use them as I need IR to control the boxes (distributed AV in the house) and I understand IR control is very unreliable with this box.1.3KViews0likes1CommentRe: Hardware for new Optik google
Thanks. Hard to find specs on Technicolor Jade. Will it allow legacy control via an IR remote ? This may still be needed in residences that have central AV media racks with distributed audio/video and control systems ex Crestron. https://www.androidtv-guide.com/pay-tv-provider/telus-android-tv/6.1KViews1like3CommentsNO bridge mode (t3200) ?!
Is it true there is no bridge mode on the telus t3200m modem ? I thought port 1 can be configured as bridge, but apparently this is not the case any more ! If true, this is shocking in 2020 when customers are invested in their own advanced equipment / router and unable to use them.Solved8.4KViews0likes3Comments
