Loyalty credit errors
Started in May asking if I could get an expired loyalty credit re-instated and have had to call in each month until October because it didn't happen correctly. Each month Telus would charge for cancelling a plan and starting a new one in the middle of a bill period with partial charges for a plan without any discounts. My bill never use to vary and was always $108.75. After calling in May it was monthly $116.65, $132.47,$133.45, & $124.00 all resulting from trying to correct the credit. My contracts will expire June 13 2026. It obviously doesn't pay to call in early to renew as it results in these partial charges without discounts. Does anyone know if you have to call in the day your plan expires or should it be on your billing date the month before? Phoned into the Retention Dept to see if they would match a Telus plan I received from PC Mobility. It was not offered on any Self Serve Telus website so I couldn't switch to it myself. They did match & a bit better but charged $15 for using an Agent. I added a Wyze doorbell to my existing Wyze security app but can only connect via my home Wifi. Cannot connect through cellular data or public wifi when away from home. The Wyze security cam on the same app connects flawlessly on all. Firmware is up to date. Phone is Samsung s10+. Data saver is Off. Thanks but I can't mark that reply as helpful. Telus chose the name for this service - it is not always for vacations. I had moved before the provincial restrictions were implemented and was trying to activate the service from my "away" location. Had tried several weeks earlier and that agent said I had to do it on the day of suspension because they no longer book ahead. Who has time to sit on hold for Telus on a moving day? He got rid of my call anyway lol. I suspect Telus has a lot of inexperienced agents right now who have to deal with "Covid weary" customers . Tried to do the usual vacation suspension for my TV this year and was told I had to suspend my phone as well. Also I would lose all my discounts and loyalty credits on my account when the suspension ends. My land line call forwards to my cell (Telus Mobility) and I need certain calls to go through. Having the land line also gives me a credit towards my home security (also Telus) so it's basically free. Maybe I got a "new" agent? Ended up putting TV on Essentials only and leaving it active because loosing my existing discounts would cost me more than the savings on TV suspension.
