Forcing device to use 2.4 over boost
I have a few Boost wifi devices scattered around the house. Each device connects back to the modem via LAN. A few months back I installed some wireless cameras outdoors. Connection has always been spotty and someone suggested forcing these devices to 2.4 GHz. Ive been looking thru the Boost’s (Telus Connect) and T3200M interface yet see no such option for boost. Smart steering function for T3200M can only be configured for T3200M SSID. I have wifi disabled on the T3200M anyways as it’s tucked away in a small utility closet. Everyday I get marketing calls from Telus on either my landline or cell. Ive asked these agents in India many times to take me off their list, but these people are only following a call sheet. They don’t decide who to call nor can they remove a number from the list…or so they say. Im getting to a point where I’m considering leaving Telus over this. It’s become so disruptive and aggressive. I own every Telus product, yet they want to always upsell me something I don’t need. Greedy and desperate in my opinion. I currently have profiles and scheduling setup for the kids to disable device data close to bedtime. I was away from home and the house sitter lost access to Apple TV as this Bedtime schedule kicked in. This was frustrating for her, and I had no way of correcting this remotely. If it’s not possible to remotely access scheduling, etc via the Connect App, it would be nice if Telus offered a web based solution to access basic modem functions like scheduling when outside LAN.4.5KViews0likes1Comment
