Re: How to fully disable IPv6 on NH20T
Unfortunately no solution. Heck on my windows and Linux boxes, if I have IPv6 enabled, I still get dns6 addresses in addition to my pihole. The "solution" that I received from support was simply disabling IPv6 in Windows. Tbh this is a firmware issue and support needs to release an updated firmware that includes full control.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to fully disable IPv6 on NH20T
The PiHole is setup as only DNS, and IPv6 is not enabled. DHCP is also disabled on the PiHole (as having 2 DHCP servers is a bad time). This was not an issue on the previous TELUS modem/router, this was not an issue on the Linksys Velop 6e Pro or TPLink Deco x75 Pro I had used previously.2.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to fully disable IPv6 on NH20T
Seems I can't edit the main post. On the NH20T dashboard, I see this for IPv6. This tells me that IPv6 is still enabled. So far I've been searching all over but have yet to find out how to fully disable IPv6 for my LAN. It's already disabled on the WAN side.2.4KViews0likes3CommentsHow to fully disable IPv6 on NH20T
I received my new NH20T and 'Wifi 6 Booster' today. While this is a nice big upgrade from the old Actiontech I had before, there is one issue I'm trying to resolve. I have a PiHole on my network which has worked amazingly up until today. While I do have DNS set for my LAN, I still seem to be getting an IPv6 address on my devices, including DNS6. IPv6 is 'off' in the 'Local Network' section. Yet on my PCs, I'm seeing IPv6 addresses. This is from my laptop running Linux Mint, but my Windows 11 desktop and even my Pixel 8 show similar things (Don't worry about the speed or security on the laptop, it's an older notebook). How do I fully disable IPv6? This defeats the purpose of my PiHole as all my devices end up using the DNS6 address. If possible, I'd like to avoid using the PiHole as my DHCP server as well.2.5KViews0likes6Comments
