Telus not living up to commitment
I recently asked Telus to do a home move as we have purchased a new home. They agreed they would move my service on July 2nd, today. We booked our home move based on this date as we both work from home so we need this service for our work. Telus called yesterday and told us they were moving the transfer to JULY 12TH? I told him that was not acceptable as we need this service for our work. He told me the fiber had not been run to my house yet. 8 days ago Polar Communications (Telus 3rd party contractor who runs this cable) called and told me they were waiting for Telus to give them permission to install the fiber and as of June 30th, they said they still had not heard from Telus. I asked for a supervisor to contact me as the tech was a waste of time to discuss this issue with. No one called. Telus had three weeks to arrange for my move and did nothing other than decide they weren't doing anything. Now I am expected to give up 10 days of work due to their refusal to live up to their agreement. I had Telus install their new PureFiber 3G in my house 10 days ago and it hasn't worked properly since. My internet goes down at least 5 times per day. This is unacceptable for a person who works from home. I have tried to get a solution from Telus but every time you reach out to them to discuss that their proposed fix didn't work, you have to start the conversation all over again. Its like they have no idea they have been working on getting this fixed for 10 days now. Not sure how to get this rectified other than to have it completely removed and find another solution else where. I am having the same issues. I had them install PureFiber 3G June 9th and it hasn't work right since. They run diagnostics, upgraded firmware on my modem and the internet still goes down at least 5 times a day. If they don't fix it soon, I am leaving Telus.
