This has come up in the community forum discussions. There are advanced users who have a need to "port forward" their devices. For me, my survellience IP cameras are useless.
I would be ideal if we can have a few ports forward enabled. Or do we need to go to the competition.
Thanks for taking the time to share your idea us. We are currently reviewing it and will follow up with you in the next 7-10 business days.
Once again thank you for submitting this idea and we hope you continue to share more great ideas.
I looked into this product/service idea. Currently TELUS clients do have options. For consumers we do lock ports but on the business side they are unblocked. One can also unblock them on the router side but that may not work for all ports on the service side.
Our premium care team is the best team help people with this request. They can walk you through the process and provide any recommendations from a service perspective.
Here are a couple of links that could help with Port forwarding.
Device: GE Security TruVision DVR 10.
Device URL: http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Actiontec/V1000H_-_Telus/GE_Security_TruVisio...
Ports needed: 80 & 8000
TELUS Premium care can be contacted by visiting http://hightechhelp.telus.com/getStartedPhone.html and submitting your number. An agent will call you directly no need to wait on hold to speak with someone.
Once again thank you for submitting this idea. Please keep the great ideas coming!
